OpenFrame 1.5.0 brings deep Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenant management into a single pane of glass, alongside Mingo Analyzer's AI-powered incident detection across your logs. Attended and unattended remote access now ship with full session transparency and end-user approval, and software deployment and patching across Windows and macOS is managed from one place. Rounding things out, broader device log visibility and dozens of stability and reliability fixes make this our most capable release yet.
Features Added5
Manage Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Graph from OpenFrame - license management, security posture monitoring, compliance tracking, and automated user provisioning for M365 tenants.
Deep Google Workspace tenant management
Unified visibility and control over Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Admin APIs, with automated user lifecycle management, license assignment, and security alert monitoring.
Mingo Analyzer: AI-driven incident detection
Centralized log aggregation with machine learning-based anomaly detection, behavioral baselines, and context-aware alerting across all OpenFrame services and device logs.
Attended and unattended remote access with session notifications
Request-and-approve attended sessions plus pre-approved unattended access, with visible session indicators and notifications so end users always know who's connected and why.
Software deployment and patching from one place
Install, upgrade, remove, and keep software up to date on Windows and macOS endpoints using Chocolatey, winget, and Homebrew - all from the OpenFrame UI.
Bugs Fixed19
Mingo lost access to previous conversation history
Technicians had to re-explain context since the AI agent couldn't retrieve prior sessions or earlier scripts.
Mingo web search tool not invoked on stage
Mingo reported no browsing capability despite web search being enabled, due to a toolset wiring gap.
Client updater failed on Windows Server 2012
Updater script used PowerShell features unavailable on PS 3.0, blocking legacy server updates.
Permission window stuck on macOS 27.0
Users could not complete the permissions flow, leaving required permissions ungranted.
Context compaction timed out on complex dialogs
Long or complex conversation compactions failed in production due to an insufficient timeout.
Stale tool updates could downgrade client versions
Offline clients applied queued update messages out of order, reverting to older chat versions on reconnect.
Reinstall loop from locked mesh directory
Reinstalls failed to complete when a file handle blocked deletion of the mesh install directory; the client now detects and resolves the lock automatically.
Windows tool update falsely reported failure
A race between service start and binary write caused valid updates to be marked failed on Windows (os error 32).
Unread message badges not updating correctly
Tickets board and client chat failed to mark messages as read while a conversation was already open on screen.
Identical client replies disappeared in chat
A client reply matching the technician's prior message vanished from the Fae chat view.
Client messages duplicated after re-opening ticket
Messages received while a technician was away from a ticket appeared twice upon reopening.
Uninstall left updater file leftovers behind
Backup and recovery copies (.lkg, .prev, .old, .bak) and temp scripts were not cleaned up on uninstall.
Stuck tool process prevented Windows recovery
A stuck process caused the client to exit without triggering Windows service recovery, leaving endpoints dark.
macOS uninstall left Orbit files, breaking re-enrollment
/opt/orbit directory and keys persisted after uninstall, causing hosts to remain in the old tenant after reinstall.
Leaked osqueryd processes on timed-out Fleet probes
Failed Fleet ID registration attempts leaked an orphaned osqueryd process roughly every 5 minutes.
Ticket card number/time line not clickable
Clicking the number and time-ago text on a ticket card failed to open the ticket.
Assign button flashed on AI Handling ticket cards
Cards in the AI Handling lane briefly showed an assign button that should never appear there.
AI Settings deep link opened wrong tab
Direct links to Device Guardrails landed on the default tab due to a feature-flag loading race condition.
User avatar disappeared in Mingo chat
Avatar URLs built from an internal tenant hostname failed to resolve in the browser, falling back to initials.
Improvements8
Expanded device and service log visibility
Broader structured and unstructured log collection across OpenFrame components feeds the new analyzer and improves overall diagnostic visibility.
Manual context compaction for Mingo chats
Added a 'Compact Context' button so users can manually summarize and reset stale conversation context on demand.
Refactored AI service architecture
Broke up large god classes in the AI service into smaller, focused components for easier maintenance.
Billing visibility added to desktop Usage settings
Settings → Usage now surfaces payment and plan status alongside existing usage counters.
Knowledge Base exposed via external API
Third-party integrations can now read, search, and retrieve knowledge base articles through the public API.
Secure secrets and variables for scripts
Sensitive values like API keys and tokens can now be stored encrypted for use in scripts instead of plain text.
Remote session indicator and approval flow
A visible on-device indicator and end-user approval prompt now accompany every MeshCentral remote session.
Device Details now shows who added the device
Enrollment commands now track the technician's employee ID, surfaced on the Device Details page.
